"Read between the lines"

Our Music & Entertainment Law department could still be considered in the embryonic stages (2+ years and growing) and in fact we are and actively embrace this. It allows us total freedom to work with clients on the merits of their individual circumstances and not the depths of their pockets. This is in no way to say that we refuse matters simply because we don’t wish to work with you. It means more importantly that we are able to ‘tailor’ our normal terms and conditions to better suit the individual’s personal situation. It also means that our department has been able to accept matters that on the surface do not ‘fit’ the remit but we can explore these and offer solutions where others may pass on them. It allows us to branch-out into areas, fields that we would not normally be involved with and has opened exciting opportunities and introductions to us and our clients: Film rights in ‘Animation’, ‘Comedy’, ‘Pathe’, ‘Ealing Comediesas well as modern UK/US ‘Horror/Slash’. Synchronisations for: Video, Film, Advertising, Documentaries and licensing for Hollywood ‘Brands’ who wish to use our clients copyright to proudly mention just a few. It has also introduced us to hitherto unexplored ‘genres’ to us: ‘Urban’, ‘Grime’, ‘Dub-Step’, ‘Drum’n’Bass’ and to some of the music industry’s emerging names as well as to industry’s mainstay artists.
Although our consultant David A.Nash has a standard hourly fee of £250 plus VAT we will, after our initial telephone or ‘one to one’ consultation with David and any other team members, where necessary, discuss alternative arrangements: ‘Damaged Based Agreements’, ‘Conditional Fee Agreement’ or in plain English we can choose to offer you a structured payment-plan as well as agree to (on a successful resolution) a percentage (%) of the gross figure awarded to our client by the court, if such matters reach that stage or from a settlement agreement from any the unpaid royalties awarded by third parties due to our intervention.
